about me
Teacher
Jennifer Grove
Hi! I'm Jen! I'm a mom of three teenagers / young adult (14.17.19) and we LOVE living on Acorn Acres!
I grew up in Foster City, CA and have called San Jose my home for over 20 years. I have a background in Early Childhood Education and joyfully enjoyed my days as a Preschool Teacher. Now that my kids are grown, I've jumped back into my passion of teaching young explorers. In 2019 I became a Tinkergarten teacher, which has been a natural progression where I can help young minds explore the outdoors in a safe, curious way. Through Tinkergarten, I was able to launch Acorn Acres in my community and share our Outdoor Play Program. When we learn and play together outside, we build a community, foster relationships, and get to enjoy our amazing world together.
I hope you will come explore with us!

What is Tinkergarten?
Tinkergarten helps families get outside to make the most of their kids’ early learning years. For over a decade, their education experts have designed play-based outdoor curriculum that guides parents in raising healthy, confident, and capable kids. Acorn Acres proudly incorporates Tinkergarten philosophy into each season. As of Aug 2024, Highlights Magazine is the sole provider of Tinkergarten curriculum.
